College football players – and long-time friends – Jalend Anderson and Jalen McCain found themselves in a heated debate over which of their universities had the better fan base. As the trash talk flew, so did a bigger idea: What if we could actually measure that? What if fans could prove it? What if we could build better fans?
While other platforms are focused on entertaining fans, Fan University is focused on educating and developing them. Through a structured digital curriculum, we provide fans with the tools to go beyond the scoreboard and into the strategy, history, and culture of the game. We don’t just hype you up—we level you up.
That moment sparked the creation of Fan University—a first-of-its-kind digital platform focused on developing fans, not just entertaining them. As former athletes, Wayne and Jalen understood the power of a knowledgeable, invested fan base. They knew firsthand how much fans can influence the energy, reputation, and success of a program.

Meet Our Founders
Jalen
McCain
Raised in the sports world, Jalen excelled as a top football recruit before playing and graduating from Old Dominion. Injuries shifted him into recruiting and player personnel roles, most recently at William & Mary. He’s now the General Manager and Head Trainer at Athletic Republic Capitol Region, where he develops professional calibre and Olympic level athletes.

Anderson
Jalend is a former WR at Wheeling University in West Virginia. He most recently served as as Head of Player Development at Athletic Republic Capitol Region, where he helped athletes across the country sharpen their IQ, elevate their skills, and unlock their full potential on and off the field.
